Carrousel Winery
Carrousel Winery offers over 30 varieties of wine, appealing to novice and expert connoisseurs. Our wines feature a vast selection of grape and fruit varieties from overseas and from select domestic districts like Stag's Leap and Woodridge Ranch.
In addition to purchasing wines from Carrousel Winery, patrons can create their own wines — either at home or in our facility — and have a custom label created for a special occasion or for a private collection.
Carrousel also offers wine tasting and education in our custom tasting room. Wine tasting festivities are available to groups by appointment.
Carrousel Winery is located on M-26 in South Range, three miles south of Houghton, Michigan. The Tasting Room and Gift Shop hours are Tuesday thru Saturday 1:00 To 5:30, Sunday 1:00 to 4:00, and Closed Monday.
Carrousel closes for the season on Christmas Day and reopens May 1. |

About Your Hosts
Frank and Carmen Murphy opened Carrousel Winery in 2006, bringing their serious, yet informal, approach to wine appreciation.
"We want our customers to enjoy wine," says Frank Murphy. "Wine should be fun."
The Murphys make it fun, drawing on a four-decade passion for wine. While Frank was employed with Schlumberger in his first career, the Murphys traveled to over 38 countries and developed a love for fine wines.
The Murphys returned to the Copper Country in 1986, became experienced at-home wine makers and, drawing on that expertise, have opened Carrousel Winery.
"Learning about wine needs to be no more complicated than finding what you like and don't like," Frank said. "With a little help in our tasting room, everyone can become a wine expert." |
